The Fatherless Future Great Literature Warned Us About
A strange thread runs through modern literature. Once you notice it, you can’t unsee the pattern.
Men without father figures slide toward chaos. Fatherless boys fall prey to false prophets. And whole societies robbed of fathers lose the ability to distinguish authority from domination, discipline from cruelty, or masculinity from playacting.
Those themes recur so often because the wound they describe has become one of the defining realities of the modern West.
