How I’d Rebuild A Failed Kickstarter From the Ground Up

Recently I broke down the numbers behind Akuma No Ran, a Kickstarter campaign that raised $530 against a $2500 goal.

What interested me most about that campaign was that a lot of their numbers looked pretty decent.

The average pledge was $38. Prelaunch followers converted to backers at 31 percent.

But the campaign was weighed down by bigger problems. For one, it didn’t get enough qualified followers. And it didn’t help that the campaign page could have delivered a more effective pitch.

Today, we’re tackling that second problem. Let me show you what I would have done differently.
